Personal Quote:
"Although we do have other senses to take in the universe around us,
we cannot deny that we are predominantly visual creatures and the key
to unlocking so many of life's wonders comes from our precious gift of sight."
More Personal Information:
"Hello, my name is Dr. Omar M. Kazi. I was born and raised in the
picturesque countryside of New York in the rustic town of Hyde Park.
I am half Cuban and half Indian by birth, but all American! I grew up
speaking Spanish as well as English as a child. After early graduation
from Roosevelt High School at the top of my class, I left home to attend
college at the University of South Florida Honors Program. During my spare
time, I received my private pilot's license and my open water SCUBA diver
certificate and played golf with my father on the beautiful courses of south
Florida. As a private pilot, a SCUBA diver, avid golfer, and grateful family
man, I thank God every day to see the natural beauty which surrounds us. This
is why I chose to be an Ophthalmologist, to do everything humanly possible to
protect this blessed gift.
After my internship in the quiet town of Reading, Pennsylvania, I eagerly went
off to Manhattan to do my Ophthalmology residency at St. Lukes - Roosevelt Hospital
Center, the fast paced University Hospital of Columbia University. One of those
three wonderful years in the Big Apple I learned my career and met my wife.
Together we enjoyed all of its bright and wonderful sights, but I always missed
Florida, and longed to return. So, after graduation from my busy New York
residency, we moved to the quiet city of Vero Beach to start my private practice
and to start our family. However, an excellent opportunity to advance my skills
arose in the heart of California, and I spent the next three years in a high-tech,
but family oriented Ophthalmology practice. But again, I longed to return to
Florida.
Now I am back in Florida to finally settle down with my lovely wife and daughter and
offer my skills and services to the people of Brevard County for years to come."
